Although it's not my main practice I've always loved print-making.

It can be quite an unpredictable process (maybe that's why I like it!) and when you pull that first print it feels like a magic trick!

 

I'm particularly interested in more painterly techniques like monotype and collagraphy because they relate so well to things I'm after with paint - gesture, texture and happy accidents!

 

Even when you're able to make more than one, they are always one-offs - just slightly different takes on the same theme.

And I love the drama of black and white!
